Let's Reflect Together...

In what ways can we as individuals or a community make our world a better place?

What do you do, to make our world a better place?

  1. As a teacher, I feel privileged that I have the opportunity to work with families and have an influence on the children in my classroom. I strive to be a positive role model and work hard to ensure my students have a good start to their education. By having a solid start to school, I want to think of knowledge or wisdom, but also other virtues such as compassion, respect, honesty, kindness, generosity, curiosity, perseverance, tolerance, etc. But rather than talking about it, I want to strive as an individual to “live what I teach”, and as a teacher help my students to be intrinsically motivated to learn and to put all good character qualities into practice.

  2. I think we can make the world a better place by helping people that need help. I think the world would be better if everyone was friendly and tried to get along instead of fighting.
I try to help others if they need it. I try to encourage others to join in when doing an activity if they are just watching.

    1. Amazing thoughts, Brady!! I agree with you, if we could all focus on being friendly and helping each other, the world would be a better place. Sometimes it is remembering to look at the 'positive' in things, rather than the 'negative'. That is a great life skill to have.

I am very proud of you, with your kindness and understanding of others needs. Thank you for sharing, Brady!

  3. I also echo what Ms Leslie says Brady. You seem to have learnt an important life lesson. To be able to see the world not in terms of "me" in the world but seeing the world in terms of other people in the world and how you can and do affect their lives for the better.
    Cool post!

  4. You could play and stop pouting
and also stop shouting to make
    the world a better
    place

    2. Hello Eva. Your post made me think a bit - a rare thing for a guy to say. :-)
What really hit home with me are your comments about pouting and shouting. You are right on the money. Pouting and shouting are signs that you are thinking about yourself - maybe even only about yourself. If we could look at playing with others and having fun the world would definitely be a better place. And with less pouting and shouting - it would be less sad and noisy. Good comment Eva.
